Paying with PayPal or a card

Checkout offers two options. PayPal opens PayPal’s own sign-in. Card payments run through the Credit Card option, which works with Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover; the card number is typed into a form that the payment service loads inside the checkout page. Debit cards carrying one of those four logos work the same way.

Seeing the full checkout total

Before the pay button, checkout lists the tops, the shipping line and any sales tax, then the checkout total. That total is the amount charged. A cart of two Comfort Colors 1566 sweatshirts at $59.99 each shows $119.98, a free shipping line, the tax for the delivery address and one total underneath.

Skipping surcharges

There are no card fees, processing fees or handling fees, and no insurance or rush option ticked in advance. Anything that isn’t the tops, the shipping fee or the sales tax isn’t charged.

Adding sales tax

Sales tax depends on the delivery address and shows as its own line before payment. The Shipping Policy has the same rule.

Pricing in US dollars

Every price on PageLinen is in US dollars (USD). Cards from banks abroad can carry a foreign transaction fee, set by that bank.

Showing only the methods that work

The logos in the footer and at checkout are PayPal, Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover, the methods PageLinen accepts. When one is added or removed, the logos and this page change on the same day.

Turning down other payment types

Wallets such as Apple Pay and Google Pay aren’t connected. Neither are buy now, pay later plans, gift cards or cryptocurrency. Paper payments (checks, money orders, cash on delivery) and bank transfers can’t be taken either.

Charging at the moment of the order

PageLinen charges the full checkout total at the moment the order is placed. PayPal takes the payment from the PayPal balance or the card linked to it; the Credit Card option charges the card right away.

Holding no pre-authorization

No temporary hold is placed ahead of the charge, and nothing extra is captured when the package ships. A pending line on a banking app is the charge itself, waiting for the bank to post it.

Confirming the order by email

An order confirmation with the order number goes to the checkout email right after payment. If it hasn’t arrived within 1 hour, check the spam folder, then write to support.

Matching the billing address

Use the billing address your bank knows. PayPal checks against its own records in the same way, and a mismatch can make the payment fail. The delivery address can be different.

Verifying unusual orders

Orders that look unusual, such as many units of one design or a billing name that doesn’t fit the card, may get an email asking for confirmation. An order that can’t be verified within 2 business days is canceled and refunded. Embroidery waits until the check is done.

Applying a discount code

When PageLinen runs a code, it goes into the cart or checkout before payment. The discount appears as its own line, and the $109.00 free shipping line is measured after it. Once an order is placed, no code can be applied to it afterward.

Retrying a declined payment

A declined card or a canceled PayPal window leaves no order and no charge. Try again, use the other option, or call the card issuer. If a charge shows up for an order that failed, support refunds it once the payment service confirms it.

Correcting a pricing mistake

Prices are checked, but a typo can slip through, and a clearly wrong price doesn’t bind either side. Before stitching begins, support writes to offer the order at the right price; turning that down cancels it, and the payment is returned in full.

Questioning a charge

  1. Compare the amount and date with the order confirmation email.
  2. Write to support with the order number and what looks wrong.
  3. Expect a reply within 1 business day.
  4. If support finds a mistake, the money is back within 7 business days.

Opening a chargeback first freezes the order while the bank reviews it, so emailing support is the quicker route.

Protecting card details

Card numbers are entered in the payment service’s form and never stored by PageLinen. The site runs on HTTPS. No system is perfectly safe, so report anything odd about a charge right away.

Reading the privacy side

What the payment services receive, and why, is set out in the Privacy Policy.
